Praise for The Chronicles of Captain Shelly Manhar :
"A rolicking tale on the high seas that has everything you want in a pirate novel: action, adventure, surprises and plot twists galore. Can't wait to read more from Fairuz." - Caleb Wygal, author of Blackbeard's Lost Treasure
"The Chronicles of Captain Shelly Manhar by Nabila Fairuz takes us on a wonderful trip to exciting and thrilling destinations. This debut novel by the young author is a must-read for its well laid-out plot, the building of suspense at the end of each chapter, and the unexpected twists and turns. The novel demonstrates the author’s mastery and knowledge in depicting the life of a pirate on the sea. The emotional turmoil the protagonist experiences, the transition from one phase of her life into another, and the series of mysteries revealed to her are woven together to unfold the story in front of the reader. There are a lot of movie materials in the novel. This book is most certainly ready to capture the attention of readers. I am one of them! Are you?" - Selina Rahman
"First of all I loved that book is about a female pirate. That alone is reason enough to pick it up. Then you can't really put it down. It broke my many month long reader's block.
cons: there are few grammar mistakes that made me falter and re read the sentence before ignoring editorial mistakes. Sometimes the story seemed patched to make two or more interesting part connect. Some character development was hastened it seemed.
pros: This is one exciting read for any young adult. It got all the elements to turn into a movie. The story keeps twisting and surprising the reader till the last page. It never gets boring. Time worth spent." - Himika Rashid
