The Letter from Hogwarts


I was thirteen when I started reading the Harry potter series. I distinctly remember the day I bought my first Harry Potter book. It was ‘The Goblet of Fire’. I bought it from a sky-train station at Bangkok, Thailand. My life changed from that day.
And I never looked back.

Generations

'Ah, those were the days. A pad was something to write on, a pod was full of peas, apples and blackberries were known to be just fruits and yahoo was something you said when you were excited.
And I, I was the pinnacle of every musician's career! For I, am the mighty CASSETTE!
I was honoured, revered and looked upon with awe. I was collected, and that collection was shown off with great pride to jealous onlookers. I was dusted regularly, lovingly wiped and carefully placed in shelves. Why, back in the day-'

Different

I don't remember how old I was, but I distinctly remember how it started.

I was reading an Archie comic, and it was a story about Betty. All the students had to choose an instrument for their music class. The other students all chose instruments like guitar, drums, keyboard; instruments that were commonly used in rock bands. But Betty chose to play the cello.

Random Thoughts

The sunlight glared down on me like an angry schoolteacher.
And, like an ashamed pupil, who was caught in the act of causing mischief, I kept my glance downwards.
I had no sunglasses. So I walked with my head bowed down, squinting at the grey cement sidewalk.
My brows seemed permanently stitched together in a furrow, such was my attempt to escape the sun's hatred.
